How my journey began…

Jenna Wilkes Minton, Esq.

CEO, Passionate Do-er / Solutions Seeker / Systems Lover

From day one Jenna has been a “do-er”. Whether it was playing “office” under the piano bench or cataloguing her mother’s businesses check stubs on a sick-day, Jenna has had a passion for organizational management and structure. Those inherent characteristics were fostered as she entered the workforce at a young age, and continued to grow as she pursued her undergraduate and legal degree.

Following law school, Jenna moved to Washington, DC where she found herself squarely in the middle of the medical non-profit world. There she was exposed to an abundance of new things, including: medical terminology, medical coding and reimbursement structures, coverage negotiations with health plans across the U.S., Medicare / Medicaid rulemaking, and even litigation against the federal government.

After five years in the Nation’s Capital, Jenna felt the pull to return to her roots. In 2014, she relocated to her home-state of Michigan and founded Minton Healthcare Strategies, known today as Proactive Strategies, LLC. Since 2014, she has also served as the Director of Operations for a Michigan non-profit agency, Residential Options, Inc., who provides care for adults and children with developmental disabilities. In 2020 Jenna made the leap to found a new consulting firm, and thus - Proactive Strategies, LLC. was born!

Today she enjoys her role as the Owner and CEO of Proactive Strategies, LLC., located in Northern Michigan. The group serves a variety of clients across the country. During her free time she can be found at the barn with her mare Quinn, on a pontoon at the family cottage, or out on the golf course with friends. She is a dog rescuer and loves anything related to travel, cooking, and wine.
